After we had done the smiling minds relaxation techniques I was feeling very relaxed, calm, as if I had no worries. Although I did not feel sleepy. In fact I felt even more awake and aware, my mind was clear and open. Normally meditation doesn't work for me because I get too distracted, but with the constant soothing talking, this breathing session didn't let me get distracted.
 
In class today we went on the Smiling Minds website, chose the 16-22 age bracket and did a guided meditation on breathing. I found this website good for my age group because it is bright and simple to navigate. The meditation was helpful in getting my to focus on my breathing and I found it really nice just to close my eyes and not focus on everything else around me.
